The significance of the project: 

The goal of the project is to contribute to the long-term sustainable development of logistics infrastructure and multimodal transport in the Republic of Serbia. This should be achieved through connecting all forms of transport, which increases the possibility of ensuring mobility of cargo, more efficient use of transport means, the quality of logistics and related services, increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Republic of Serbia as a transit country, through better use of domestic resources and reducing the costs of cargo transportation, as well as the environmental impacts of the heavy freight vehicles.

Status of the project: 
The Preliminary Design, Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment, Cost and Benefit Analysis and Tender Documentation for Works and Equipment have been developed. A detailed regulation plan was adopted, the public interest was adopted and the location conditions were obtained. The project was adopted at the session of the Republican Audit Commission on March 15th, 2016, and therefore the technical documentation was completed.

The start of project realization is expected after the signing of the Financial Agreement between the EC and the Republic of Serbia for the approval of the IPA 2015 package (85% of the total amount). After that, a tender will be announced for the construction of the terminal (during 2016) by the yellow FIDIC system (project and build) and the selection of the most favorable contractor. The beginning of works can be expected in late 2016 or early 2017.

There is a tender procedure for the selection of the contractor and supervision.

20,75 million euros (including 4 million euros for expropriation)

Start of the project: 

Depending on the signing of the Financing Agreement between the EC and the Republic of Serbia for the approval of the IPA 2015 package, the start of works can be expected at the end of 2016 or at the beginning of 2017.

Project description: 

The future intermodal terminal will have a direct connection with Corridor X, i.e. will be connected to the railway station in Batajnica, through the service road for Batajnica road. Intermodal terminal area with access roads is about 13 hectares. Near intermodal terminal, the development of a logistic center on the surface of 82.5 hectares is planned.

Based on the Preliminary Design, the most important part of the terminal will be a manipulative area, consisting of:

    3 tracks: 2 loading and unloading tracks for loading and unloading of the conner and 1 additional manipulative track for the locomotive (each 650 m long);
    4 lanes for truck passage: 1 passing, 1 loading / unloading, 1 spare and 1 emergency exit bar;
    Plateau for Temporary Disposal of the Container: 3 Continger Lines for Temporary Disposal of the Container, Frigo-Container, Interchangeable Transport Courts and Container with Dangerous Goods.
