Belgrade Bypass construction project is significant overall because of the unburdening of the city center from transit traffic. The project brings together existing and new highways, that is, international corridors leading from Belgrade.
So far, a Construction Permit has been obtained for Section 4, Section 5 from Orlovaca Loop to Strazevica Tunnel, and the Construction Permit for Orlovaca Loop on Section 4, then Construction Permits for Bridges 13, 14 and 15 on Section 5 and for Strazevica Tunnel and for Sector 6 from Strazevica tunnel to Bubanj Potok junction. Work is underway on Sector 4 and 5, and the contractor has also been commissioned in Sector 6.

Budget of the Republic of Serbia and a loan from China's Export-Import Bank
The total length of the section is 19.5 km. Main structures on the route are four tunnels, with a total length of 2760 meters, 22 bridges (only one shorter than 50 m) with a total length of 5,307 meters, two loopholes and one knot. The section is divided into 3 sectors:
Sector 4, part of Ostruznica Bridge to Orlovaca loop 7 km long, for which the right side of the highway and earthworks on the left were built within the first phase. The contractor is obliged to complete the second phase, which involves the construction of the left side of the highway and bridges 9, 10 and 11 as well as the penetration of the left tunnel pipe for Lipak and Zeleznicki tunnels.
Sector 5, part of Orlovaca loop to Strazevica tunnel, 3 km long, for which the right side of the highway and earthworks on the left were built within the first phase. The contractor is obliged to build the left side and design and build bridges 13, 14 and 15 as well as the left tunnel tube of the Strazevica tunnel.
Sector 6, section from Strazevica tunnel to Bubanj Potok, 9.5 km long, for which the contractor is obliged to build a full-profile highway, 16 bridges, Beli Potok tunnel, Avala loop and Bubanj Potok junction.
