The significance of the project: 

The implementation of the contractual agreement will provide the necessary infrastructure conditions for the Makiš Depot, from which Lines 1 and 2 of the Belgrade metro will be managed. It will serve for the parking of rolling stock for Lines 1 and 2 of the Belgrade metro, as well as for the maintenance of the entire future metro network, which will consist of three lines.

Status of the project: 

Phase "0" – "Construction of the embankment for the metro depot" was completed on November 8, 2024.  Works are currently being carried out to remedy the deficiencies listed in the snag list provided by the Engineer.

Estimated value: 85,9 million euros

Project description: 

For the needs of the metro line and metro depot, an embankment made of reclaimed sand has been constructed, consisting of approximately 1.5 million cubic meters of sand over an area of 72 hectares. For the purpose of stormwater evacuation, two reinforced concrete collectors, a pumping station, and a transformer station to supply power to them have been constructed.
