Department of Inland Navigation Services - Port Authority

Article 34

In the Department of Inland Navigation Department - Port Authority, the following activities are performed: coordination of the work of port authorities; maritime traffic management (VTS), use of river information services (RIS); issuing ship documents and books, issuing personal and other documents for crew members; carrying out technical and other professional tasks for the safety of navigation; technical supervision and inspection of boats and floating objects for sport and recreation and floating bodies, or floating; collection of statistical data on water transport on waterways; keeping records of ships and other vessels; keeping the official records of the completed enrollment, issuing the decision on the first entry, the entry in sheet A, sheet B and the sheet C of the master book of the register of ships, issuing a decision on the removal of the ship, the re-entry of the ship, the transfer of the registration of the ship, the registration of other vessels ; giving opinions from the scope of work of port authorities; cooperation with public enterprises and companies, other bodies and organizations (MoI, Customs, etc.), as well as other activities from the scope of the Department.

In the Inland Navigation Department - Port Authority, the following routine units are formed as regional units of the Ministry:

3.   Port Authority Veliko Gradište;

 

4.  Port Authority Smederevo;

 

5.   Port Authority Belgrade;

 

6.   Port Authority Pancevo;

 

7.   Port Authority Sremska Mitrovica;

 

8.   Port Authority Senta;

 

9.   Port Authority Novi Sad;

 

10. Port Authority Titel;

 

11. Port Authority Bezdan;

 

12. Port Authority Apatin.

 

Port Authority are regional units of the Ministry that perform administrative, technical and other expert tasks that ensure the safety of navigation related to: entry-exit review by river border crossing points in cooperation with other competent authorities; monitoring the movement and retention of the vessel; initiation of amendments to the laws and by-laws in the field of navigation; taking administrative and other measures; the provision of nautical conditions and nautical consent, which establishes that the technical documentation for the issuance of an approval for the construction, reconstruction, upgrading, adaptation and rehabilitation of railings, navigable canals and other hydraulic facilities, as well as other facilities influencing the safety of navigation in accordance with the given nautical conditions; cooperation with business entities, other bodies and organizations in the field of water transport; maritime traffic management (VTS); issuing ship documents and books, issuing personal and other documents for crew members; performing technical and other professional activities in the field of navigation; determining the ability of boats and floating objects for sailing or floating; collection of statistical data on water transport on waterways; preparation and processing of data, enactment of the decision on the entry of vessels, keeping records of ships and other vessels and records of vessels, crews, navigation and state of the waterway and facilities for navigation safety; the implementation of the wartime regime and the taking of measures in extraordinary circumstances in cooperation with the ministry responsible for internal affairs (search and rescue, etc.), as well as other activities prescribed by laws and bylaws.
