The Preljina–Požega section constitutes part of the E-763 highway, which is a segment of the Belgrade–South Adriatic motorway. This route establishes a connection between Serbia and Montenegro, specifically linking Belgrade with the South Adriatic coast, and in a broader context, it will connect Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, and Italy.
On 30 January 2022, the 11.4 km long section of the Preljina–Pakovraće highway was officially opened for traffic.
Functional trials of electromechanical systems are being carried out in the “Laz” tunnel, whereas asphalt paving works are in progress in the “Munjino brdo” tunnel. Remaining works on the unfinished section of the route, along with the completion works on the structures, are being carried out in accordance with the work execution timeline.

The E-763 motorway, Preljina–Požega section, 30.9 km long, is divided into 5 segments:
- Stretch 1 (Laz tunnel);
- Stretch 2 (Munjino Brdo tunnel)
- Stretch 3: Road section Preljina – Pakovraće; 11.4 km long, opened to traffic on January 30, 2022;
- Stretch 4: Road section between the two tunnels Laz and Munjino Brdo;
- Stretch 5: From the Munjino Brdo tunnel to the Prilipac interchange
The execution of works encompasses: The project scope includes the construction of grade-separated intersections at ‘Pakovraće’, ‘Lučani’, and the ‘Prilipac’ interchange; the construction of three tunnels—‘Trbušani’, ‘Laz’ with a length of 2,840 m, and ‘Munjino brdo’ with a length of 2,755 m; construction of 35 bridges within the motorway embankment; construction of engineering structures such as reinforced concrete retaining walls and mechanically stabilized earth walls; construction of noise protection walls; implementation of drainage systems and watercourse regulation; protection and relocation of existing telecommunications infrastructure and installation of newly designed road telecommunications systems and tunnel telecommunications systems; relocation and reconstruction of high-voltage electrical lines conflicting with the motorway alignment; installation of electrical power supplies for lighting at grade-separated intersections, rest areas, and tunnels; electrical installation works in tunnels including automatic control systems; construction of ventilation systems in the ‘Laz’ and ‘Munjino brdo’ tunnels, including cross passages and ventilation stations; and works related to the installation of traffic signaling and road equipment.
