- Commercial Contract for the Design and Construction Works of the E-763 Highway, Section Surčin–Obrenovac, dated 20 June 2016.
- Direct contracting based on the intergovernmental agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
The significance of the project lies in establishing a direct connection between the Miloš the Great Highway and Corridor 10 (via the Belgrade Bypass at the Surčin interchange), specifically providing northern access towards Hungary through Novi Sad and Horgoš, and western access towards Croatia. Furthermore, it facilitates easier connectivity between the city of Belgrade and the Miloš the Great Highway, as well as significantly relieving traffic on the Belgrade–Obrenovac route. Upon completion of the sections (Obrenovac – Ub, Ub – Lajkovac, Lajkovac – Ljig, and Ljig – Preljina), a continuous full-profile highway from Belgrade to Preljina will be established, with a total length of 120 km.
The section was officially opened for traffic in December 2019.
Estimated value: USD 233,669,280,00
The project is financed by funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia and loans from domestic banks.
The Surčin–Obrenovac highway is a section of the so-called Corridor 11, connecting the highway route with the Belgrade Bypass. The overall length of the section amounts to 17.6 kilometers, incorporating a new bridge spanning the confluence of the Sava and Kolubara rivers. The bridge spanning the Sava River represents the most prominent structure on the route, measuring 1.6 kilometers in length, while the project additionally encompasses two interchanges, six minor bridges, and four overpasses. Particularly notable among the overpasses is the large structure near Surčin, located at the intersection of the highway and railway line. The highway is designed as a full-profile road, comprising four traffic lanes and two emergency lanes. Via the planned Surčin interchange on the Bypass, this section will enable a direct link between Corridors 10 and 11.
