Strategic and legal basis:
The project was contracted pursuant to the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation in the Field of Infrastructure between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, with direct contracting based on an intergovernmental agreement.
The significance of the project:
In order to ensure the functional integrity of the linear infrastructure project of special importance for the Republic of Serbia, titled “Construction of the railway line Zemun Polje – Nikola Tesla Airport – National Stadium,” it is necessary to proceed with the construction of the Novi Beograd railway station complex along with the reconstruction of the bridge structure.
Investment value:
The total value of this project according to the contract amounts to 138 million euros.

Project description:
The Novi Beograd railway station complex encompasses the development of over 25,000 m² of net usable space, including the main station building (located on the station square facing Milutin Milanković Street) with 10,880 m², the station vestibule (situated beneath the bridge structure and under the platform) covering 7,440 m², as well as landscaping and the station square itself, which covers 7,500 m².
