Project description:

The state road segment Novi Beograd to Surčin, situated on the left bank of the Sava River, extends approximately 7.9 km in length. It is designed for a design speed of 80 km/h, with gentle longitudinal gradients. The cross-section of the state road ranges in width from 30.7 m to 38.20 m. It is designed with two carriageways, each consisting of three traffic lanes, a central median strip, shoulders on both sides, edge greenery, pedestrian sidewalks, and on one section, two-way bicycle lanes.

For traffic connections with the newly designed roads, in addition to the roundabout at the beginning of the route, three more at-grade intersections and a grade-separated “half-cloverleaf” interchange are planned, connecting to the street leading to the Surčin settlement and the Sava River bank, where the national stadium is planned. Three bridges and three overpasses are planned for crossing watercourses and local roads. Stormwater runoff from the roadway is planned to be managed via a controlled closed drainage system, including treatment before being discharged into receiving bodies, specifically melioration canals.
